The Executive Chairman of Orile-Agege LCDA, Honorable Akinola Abiodun Idowu, attended the official launching of a Non-Governmental Organization aimed at supporting and empowering vulnerable, less-privileged adults and elderly persons within the community.
The organization, Touch of Refuge Welfare Foundation* , founded by Dr. Temitope Ogundile Matthew, is located at No. 33, Opeolu Street, Papa Ashafa, Orile-Agege LCDA.
Speaking with members of the press during the event, the Executive Chairman emphasized that the local government was not merely present to honor the invitation but was fully prepared to collaborate and partner with initiatives that promote social welfare, empowerment, and community development. He reaffirmed that his administration remains committed to supporting programs and organizations that positively impact the lives of residents.
Hon. Idowu noted that the foundation’s founder has been actively empowering individuals within the community for over five years, stating that bringing such humanitarian efforts into the public space through an official launch deserves government support and encouragement.

He further used the opportunity to call on well-meaning individuals, community stakeholders, and citizens in the diaspora to initiate and support programs capable of uplifting and empowering people at the grassroots level.
