The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agege Federal Constituency once again demonstrated its organizational strength and grassroots influence as leaders, stakeholders, and party faithful gathered for a joint Local Government meeting ahead of the crucial House of Assembly primaries.

The strategic gathering, held at Arigidi Street opposite Ajakaye Street, brought together members from both Agege Local Government Area and Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with solidarity songs, dancing, and chants of loyalty to the party, reflecting the unity and readiness of APC members for the upcoming exercise.

Hon. Akinola Abiodun Idowu (Dodo), Executive Chairman of Orile-Agege LCDA, and Hon. Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa, Executive Chairman of Agege LGA, joined other prominent leaders to mobilize massive support for the aspirants representing Agege Constituencies 01 and 02: High-Chief Hon. Abdul-Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi and Hon. Dr. Azeez Oladapo Yusuf (Ninolowo).

The programme commenced with an opening prayer led by Mrs. Johnson, Chairperson of Ward C, Orile-Agege, followed by energetic introductions of dignitaries by Hon. Britto. Also acknowledged all dignitaries and personality in both LGA and LCDA, Hon. Remi Bello, and several ward leaders, all of whom commended the political leadership of Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly and APC Candidate to represent Agege Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general election, described during the meeting as “the light of Agege.”

As proceedings advanced, Hon. Remi Bello emphasized the importance of unity, loyalty, and active participation in the primaries. Songs of praise were rendered in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Rt. Hon. Obasa, reinforcing the party’s commitment to its leadership.

A major highlight of the meeting was the announcement of a ₦5 million donation to each ward, jointly made by Hon. Akinola Idowu (Dodo) and Hon. Vinod Obasa, to support mobilisation efforts across the thirteen (13) wards. The leaders also pledged to provide food and drinks for party faithful during the exercise, ensuring inclusivity and motivation at the grassroots level.

Councillors across the wards were designated as electoral officers, while attendance records would be closely monitored to ensure transparency. Leaders reiterated that elections would hold simultaneously across all designated wards in Agege and Orile-Agege, urging members to remain peaceful and coordinated.

The gathering ended on a high note, with renewed commitment from party faithful to deliver a peaceful, successful, and united APC primary election. The joint meeting not only strengthened the bond between Agege and Orile-Agege but also reaffirmed the constituency’s readiness to secure victory for its aspirants.
